The winter school holidays are just around the corner, so we found all the fun things you’ll need to keep the tribe entertained during the break.
Silvers Circus
Silvers Circus is one of the top 10 circus’s in the world and these school holidays the tribe will be delighted by the awe inspiring acts from all over the world. Enjoy performances including aerial stunts, high wire adventures, juggling, hula hooping, hilarious clowns and a ring master that will captivate from the very beginning. Silvers Circus is performing in three different locations including Moonee Ponds, Cheltenham and Fern Tree Gully.
JoJo Siwa performance and fashion parade
JoJo fans will love seeing the superstar live performing her new song ‘High Top Shoes’ as well as other fan favourites. JoJo will also bring a fashion parade to her fans, showcasing her latest range of clothing, accessories, toys and more. For more info click here.
Snow play and tobogganing
Rug the tribe up in their snow gear and have a day of snow play and tobogganing at Mt Donna Buang Summit. The winter months bring some snow fall, enough to build a snow man, have a snow ball fight and have some fun hiring a taboggan. There are three toboggan runs to enjoy.
Wonderland at ACMI
Wonderland is an exhibition exploring one of the world’s most famous characters, Alice in Wonderland. See Alice in her many different portrayals on the screen in this immersive experience the whole family will love. This exhibition is recommended for kids aged 6 and up to get the most out of the adventure.
Island Whale Festival
The Island Whale Festival takes place from Friday, July 6 to Sunday, July 8 with a fantastic line up of events for the whole tribe to enjoy. Activities include stories and craft at the Library, winter whale cruises, a Trash Puppets workshop, marine environment talks and of course a walk along the Bass Coast Whale Discovery Trail to see if you can spot a whale.
Disney On Ice
Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic is guaranteed to be a school holiday favourite for the tribe. With all of your favourite Disney characters making an appearance, highlights include seeing Elsa and Anna singing Let It Go, Timon and Pumba singing Hakuna Matata and Buzz, Woody and Jessie singing You’ve got a Friend in Me. Plus the Mouse-ter of Ceremonies, Mickey Mouse will delight with his parade of friends from Donald Duck to Goofy to the Disney Princesses. There is something for everyone in this beautiful show.
Real Madrid World of Football Experience
The Real Madrid World of Football experience is a hands on exhibition for football fans of all ages. Get hands on with your favourite sport with physical interactive football experiences like the Skills Arena where you can practice your goal kicking skills. Werribee Open Range Zoo
Werribee Open Range Zoo is a fabulous place to take the tribe during the school holidays. Experience an African safari a little closer to home. Head to the Safari Station and ride on the open air bus where you will see all sorts of African animals including rhinoceros and hippopotamus to name a few. During the winter school holidays you can also experience the zoo by night with Wild Nights open from July 7 – 14. Bring a torch and rug up!
Polly Woodside LEGO workshop
There is lots of pirate fun to be had at Polly Woodside during the school holidays. July 1 is Pirate Day with a Pirate Quest LEGO workshop presented by Bricks 4 Kidz. Kids will get to tour the ship, scrub the deck and ring the bell as well as get hands on with LEGO fun. For the little ones, there is also story time on Polly Woodside on Saturday and Sunday from 10:15am. Plus don’t miss the Crew Calls every hour on the hour from 10:30am-2:30pm during the school holidays.
