Take a trip to Scenic World to see the world heritage Blue Mountains, and an animal experience the tribe won’t forget.
If you love birds and native animals, head to Scenic World Katoomba for the Native Animal Encounter and Take Flight Bird Show during the spring school holidays. Meet some of Australia’s favourite native animals in their native environment. Take the Scenic Railway down into the floor of the Jamison Valley and then get ready to see some beautiful birds take flight in the canopy of trees.
These closed group sessions allow you to get close to and have an encounter with a sugar glider, a sooty owl and a diamond python – all of which are native to the Blue Mountains.
The Take Flight show will return to Scenic World, and is free for all visitors to Scenic World, running twice daily between 11am and 1pm. Set on the Scenic Walkway, this educational show will give visitors a chance to see some of Australia’s amazing birds up close and in flight.
While you’re at Scenic World, enjoy a ride on the Scenic Cableway or the Scenic Skyway where you will see panoramic views of the Blue Mountains, the Jamison Valley and the iconic Three Sisters.
The native animal experience and the take flight bird shows won’t be on over the long weekend, but they will both be back for week 2 of the school holidays.
