Sugar Republic is the sweetest pop-up exhibition to land in Sydney. Find out what it’s all about!
If you have a sweet tooth, then this gorgeous exhibition in Myer Sydney will hit the sweet spot! This one is for kids and kids at heart with lots of interactive exhibits and even free tastings of sweet morsels such as lollies, biscuits and ice-cream.
What kind of stuff will I see at Sugar Republic?
There is a grown up sized pink ball pit where visitors young and old are encouraged to take a dip in the pit and for the older generations, relive their youth! There are lots of familiar brand partners who helped create the pop-up exhibit including Hubba Bubba, Wizz Fizz and Arnott’s to name a few.
There is a Charlie’s Chocolate Factory room where you can pose with a giant golden ticket, a cookie house you can venture inside of, a giant birthday cake you can pop out the top of and a licorice playroom. There is lots to do and see in this museum of sweets.
Is Sugar Republic for grown ups or kids?
The exhibition is targeted at nostalgic adults, but so long as the tribe are well behaved and respectful of others viewing the exhibit, kids are welcome! Sugar Republic is an art exhibition and a ‘grown up play space’. There is even a night time event for 18+ that want to enjoy Sugar Republic without children present, but kids are welcome to stay until 7pm.
Where is it?
Sugar Republic has taken over the top floor of Myer and to add to the fun of the experience, it’s recommended you take the rocket lift from the ground floor to level 6.
What else do I need to know?
Tickets to Sugar Republic are $39 per adult (on the weekend) and children aged 3-12 are $29. Under 2’s are free. You will need to book a time slot for your visit where you will get to take your sweet time wandering around, or at least an hour before the next time slot starts.
It’s recommended that you buy your tickets online before your visit to secure the session you want to attend.
