You know it’s Christmas time when the cherries are back in season, and every December the town of Young celebrates this delicious fruit with its National Cherry Festival. This year is the 67th Cherry Festival and there are loads of activities for the tribe to enjoy including live music, the coronation of the annual Cherry Queen, farmers markets, amusement rides, local performers, a cherry pie eating competition and more!
The festival is across an entire weekend starting on Friday and finishing on Sunday so no matter whether you’re there for a day or the whole weekend, there’s something fun for the tribe to do! There is even a street parade and a cherry pip spitting competition to see who can spit their pip the furthest!
You might also want to check out some of the local cherry orchards and pick some cherries to take home with you! This yummy festival is one the whole tribe can enjoy!
