Warner Bros Movieworld is a fantastic theme park to treat the tribe to a day out – known to locals as ‘Hollywood on the Gold Coast’.
What’s at Movieworld?
Movieworld has something for everyone. There is a DC Comic area with rides dedicated to Batman and Joker, Superman and The Green Lantern. There is a Wild West area with a range of rides and side shows, the Main Street area with a DC superhero makeover stand, character photo opportunities and shops. For the kids there is a dedicated kid zone called WB Kids with fun rides for the smaller tribe members.
Tell me about the rollercoasters
Movieworld has four major rollercoasters for the thrill seeking tribe members. The biggest rollercoaster is The DC Rivals Hyper Coaster – a pink rollercoaster with a vertical drop and a track that twists and turns taking the riders upside down, sideways and all around in every direction. The Superman Escape coaster is a speedy ride that shoots out of a dark shed, launching the riders into a fast paced adventure.
There is also the Green Lantern coaster and the Arkham Asylum Shock Therapy coaster for those who love a good rollercoaster.
For the kids there is the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster which is inside a haunted house and the Road Runner Rollercoaster can be found in WB Kids land.
Character spotting
The tribe will love spotting characters from the Batman movies including Batman himself, Joker, The Riddler, Robin, Penguin, Harley Quinn and Superman. We also loved sighting Tweety and Sylvester, Bug Bunny and Lola Bunny and other Warner Bros favourites who frequent WB Kids land.
Live shows and parades
There’s lots of live action shows including stunt driving shows and a fantastic street parade down Main Street where Batman drives past in his Bat Mobile. There are other colourful and entertaining performances on throughout the day and you will also enjoy catching The Lego Movie 4D Experience at the Roxy Theatre.
