If you’ve ever tried a Zumba class, you’ll already know that Zumba is so much fun and a great way to keep fit. We put the tribe to the test and got them to check out a special kids Zumba class at Decorati Kids. Here’s what they loved about it.
There was great music
Rossina was the energetic Zumba instructor leading the class, and she came armed with a great play list of upbeat songs that the kids loved. Every song was teed up so the kids could learn the moves and then have a go themselves. There was even a little bit of Taylor Swift in the mix much to my tribe’s delight.
The moves were challenging but fun
There was a lot of balance incorporated into the class which was great for the kids with their gross motor skills. They also had to coordinate their arms and legs to do the entire move so it really required them to pay attention to Rossina and have a go.
It was a great way to keep fit
If your tribe baulks at the thought of doing exercise, Zumba for kids is a fantastic way to keep them moving and boost their fitness levels while they’re having fun. The kids in the class were all highly engaged and willing to have a go at everything and had a giggle at some of the trickier moves.
It’s for boys and girls
We loved seeing the mix of kids together doing Zumba and all loving it as much as the next. There’s no stigma attached to doing Zumba, the class is gender neutral and the space at Decorati Kids is just a vibrant and fun area for all kids to enjoy their class.
The price of doing Kids Zumba at Decorati Kids is $125 for a 10 week term making each class $12.50. The classes are 30 minutes long and the kids only need to bring a water bottle, wear joggers and comfortable clothes.
There is a cafe and a toddler play area
Right outside the classroom is a cafe with snacks and coffee and a fully gated soft play area for siblings to stay entertained while your tribe has fun with Zumba. The classrooms have viewing windows which means kids can see you while they’re in class and you can see them too.
Most importantly – Zumba Kids is a fun class for the tribe! My daughter was talking about it for weeks after we went and trialled the class. She even showed her friends and teachers at school how to do some of the moves she learned. I asked if she would like to do the class again and she said she would love to do Zumba every week.
