If it’s been on your to-do list to take the tribe to see Floriade in Canberra, now is the time! Floriade is a month-long event celebrating all things spring and this year’s program won’t disappoint.
Spring has sprung! If you’re looking for an event that celebrates all that is the glorious season of spring, then it’s a must to head to Canberra and check out Floriade, launching this month.
There is so much to do in the month-long event! Depending on which week you visit, there will be different sights to see. There’s everything the tribe could hope for including DIY flower workshops for kids, photography workshops for mum and dad, or paint a garden gnome for gnome knoll! But the fun doesn’t stop with all of the amazing day time activities and events.
There are markets, food trucks, and hitch a ride on a miniature train across to other areas of Floriade to save yourself the walk. There are art installations to be seen, and lots of hands-on activities for both the kids and the grown-ups! Plus you need to take a ride on the famous Floriade Ferris wheel to see the gardens from a totally different view.
Also if you’re in Canberra for a few days, don’t miss Nightfest where the gardens are turned into an illuminated wonderland. There will be roving performers, the marketplace which is full of delectable foods to try and much more!
Entry to Floriade is free for the whole family – just get in early to get yourself a nearby parking spot!
