If you are looking for some family fun on your holiday in Fiji, check out Kula Wild Adventure Park. Krystal McKinley shared her experience with us.
Today’s adventure took us to the Kula Wild Adventure Park. It took about 40 minutes drive from the Double Tree Hilton but the scenery along the way was worth the drive. If you are staying at the Outrigger, you’re in luck because the Kula Wild Adventure Park is just across the road.
We pre booked the Behind the Scenes tour which included lunch and a private guide and also added on the zip line and waterslide. Our guide was so friendly and very informative about the park and its animals. There is also a Kid’s Park Ranger for a Day experience available.
When you visit Kula Wildlife you will mainly see iguanas and birdlife with a few turtles and pythons. Although you can guide yourself around the park, the behind the scenes option gives you the opportunity to hold a young iguana and young boa constrictor and to have your photo taken with them too.
You also get to check out the incubation lab and how the filtration system works behind the coral tanks. There are walk in enclosures which allow you to go inside where the birds are and they may even come up to you.
The zip line was amazing! You had to walk up quite a few stairs to get to the top which can be exhausting, especially when you have to hold your own harness on the way up, but it is all worth it to get the adrenaline rush on the way down.
The waterslide was 100 metres in length and is a 15 metre walk to the top of the slide. The slide goes through the trees which looks really fun! There is also a small water park suitable for children.
