A trip to Canberra calls for a visit to Cockington Green gardens to see the gorgeous miniature village. Don’t miss this fun activity next time you’re in the capital city.
Cockington Green gardens are one of Canberra’s landmark attractions and one that tribes have been visiting for over 35 years! This delightful garden has handcrafted, miniature buildings set into beautifully landscaped gardens. There’s lots to do and see at Cockington Green including their International Display, with miniature villages inspired by buildings around the world. There are currently over 30 different countries represented in this multicultural display including India and Great Britain.
There is also the original area with quaint buildings and displays that the tribe will love, the gardens at Cockington Green are just as beautiful as the displays with gorgeous flowers to enjoy all year round, and there is a miniature steam train where you can sit and take in the scenery as it makes its way around the park.
Enjoy wandering through the grounds with miniature fairy houses, miniature sporting fields, miniature homes complete with cars, pets and the family and then head into the international area with beautifully designed buildings from overseas destinations such as Holland with windmills and the iconic Taj Mahal in India.
There is a cafe on-site at Cockington Green, or you can pack a picnic for the tribe and let the kids play at the playground facilities.
