A fantastic playground conveniently located across the road from the local pools? Say no more! Church St Reserve in South Windsor ticks all the boxes for a fun day out with the tribe.
New equipment
Church St Reserve was officially opened in 2019, so it’s full of modern equipment. The double flying fox was the main attraction and the first thing the tribe spotted when we drove into the car park. There is an all-abilities flying fox with a harness and a second traditional flying fox.
There is a great imaginative play area with a Post Office and a Shop for the little ones.
Other equipment in the playground includes:
- Sandpit
- Swings including all-abilities swing with harness
- Imagination station play area
- Water pump
- Flying fox
Facilities
Church St Reserve is in a nice open area with lots of space to spread out and have a picnic. Lots of grass surrounding the park means it’s a great spot to bring a ball to kick around too. There are a couple of shaded seating areas with tables and chairs and a toilet block. There is plenty of free parking too making it an easy spot to visit and hang out for a few hours.
Across the road, you’ll find Hawkesbury Oasis Fitness and Aquatic Centre, which has an excellent indoor pool with slide, spray jets and drop buckets, as well as an outdoor 50m pool.
What else is there in Windsor?
We love a day out in Windsor. A trip to Windsor Mall will reveal lots of great local businesses worth checking out. On Sunday’s there is a fantastic market with lots of local wares on offer. The tribe will also enjoy a visit to Lollies ‘N’ Stuff to pick up some international candy.
We also can’t go past a visit to Australiana Pioneer Village on the weekend or in the school holidays. If you are keen to find another park for more playtime, then head over to Governor Phillip Park – and if you’re visiting in summer, don’t forget your swimmers and a towel for the awesome water play area!
